PROPERTIES
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc and sometimes other metals such as lead, aluminum, tin, silicon, chromium, manganese and iron.
Brass density ranges from 8,4 – 8,7 kg/dm3,
Melting point above 907 oC,
Soft metal, has good thermal and electrical conductivity.
Due to the processing technology and intended use, brass is divided into foundry and plastic working. Due to the composition, brass is divided into two-component, lead, tin, aluminum, manganese, nickel, silicon.

APPLICATION
Good technological and functional properties make brass one of the most common metal alloys. Depending on the chemical composition, it can be easily machined and has plastic properties.
Brass, fittings, machine elements are manufactured in the automotive, electrical, marine and chemical industries. It is a popular metal used in metalwork for the production of decorative elements.
Restrictions on the use of lead in industry have resulted in the emergence of new brass grades, where arsenic is an additional alloying element. These grades are to replace commonly used lead brass, especially in the production of fittings and devices which are in contact with drinking water.
